Report on adding an extension to a building
Assessment of the feasibility of an extension to an existing building and its impact on load-bearing structures — before construction begins.
- from 200,000 KZT
- 1–6 weeks
- 300+ projects across Kazakhstan
- accepted by GASK, the akimat and state expert review
Why a report is needed before work
Before adding a new volume to a building, it is important to make sure the existing foundations and structures can bear the additional loads and that the junction node will be safe. The report provides the basis for designing and approving the extension.
KAZNICEP LLP inspects the existing building and the zone of the future junction and issues a report on the feasibility of and conditions for adding an extension.
A report is required by commercial and public buildings before expansion — adding an entrance group, a wing or extra storeys.
Inspection of the existing building in the extension zone.
Assessment of the condition and load-bearing capacity of structures.
Analysis of the new loads and the junction node.
A report on the feasibility of and conditions for adding the extension.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a technical building inspection cost?
The cost starts from 200,000 KZT and depends on the property: floor area, number of storeys, structural scheme, condition of the structures and scope of work. We give an exact price after clarifying the input data for the property.
How long does the inspection and the issue of the report take?
From 1 to 6 weeks. The timeline depends on the area and complexity of the property, the volume of instrumental work and the need for verification calculations.
Is your report suitable for GASK, the akimat and state expert review?
Yes. The engineering report is prepared in accordance with the building codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is used for approvals with the authorised bodies and when passing state expert review.
How long is the engineering report valid?
As a rule, 3 years — provided the condition of the property, the loads and the operating conditions have not changed. If new defects appear or loads increase, a repeat inspection is required.
Do you travel around Almaty and the region?
Yes, we travel around Almaty and the Almaty Region. Large properties — administrative, industrial and public buildings — we inspect across Kazakhstan.
What do you need to get started?
Just describe the property: address, building type and task (redevelopment, reconstruction, condition assessment). If you have a technical passport or design documentation, attach it — this speeds up the work.
Do you need to inspect the building before designing an extension?
Yes. An extension adds load to the existing foundations and load-bearing structures, so a report on their condition is a mandatory basis for the design.
